HOUND & HAMMER's Ronan is a “Chelsea shoe boot”. It's a Chelsea boot because of its twin elastic panels and leather upper but also a shoe boot, because it’s lower than a boot and taller than a shoe. Worn under longer pants it looks like a boot but has the relative comfort and ease of entry of a loafer.
The Ronan can be work with a dress pant to dress it down, but also looks great with a pair of jeans. The Ronan comes in a tumbled black and a beautiful cognac leather with a slight “pull-up” effect that adds a rich depth to the leather. Hound & Hammer's leathers have a slight oily finish to give just the slightest sheen, making them not shiny, but not dull either!
The exterior is a full grain leather, not a split or pig leather, and is naturally permeable and temperature controlling. The lining is a full glove leather lining -- ultra soft!
Outsole is a compressed form of TPR commonly referred to as “German Resin”. It is known as a great alternative to leather outsole in terms of flexibility and durability.
All Hound & Hammer boots are designed in Los Angeles and made by hand in an artisanal factory in India.
Material: Leather exterior, leather interior with a removable polyurethane insole and resin sole.
Fit: This is a snug fitting shoe intended to be worn with a lighter weight sock. Please order the size you usually wear for athletic shoes, and if a half size or wide foot, order a half-size up.
